Tech Guy Socks - Problems
I have almost completed a pair of socks but wanted to use the toe from TechGuy Socks. I had tried 3 or 4 times and still was having trouble. I posted to the sockknitters group for help and a very nice knitter, Charlton, emailed me with an excellent explanation of how to achieve the the toe. It seems I wasn't doing the yarnovers correctly. Here is a shout out for Charlton! Many Thanks.....

Knitting Podcast
I have been listening to the Lime & Violet podcast and it is hilarious! They do talk about knitting but they have a wild time doing it. It is listed as explicit because they do get carried away with insinuations and they have a lot of comments that can be taken the wrong way but that is the fun of it all. Check out their blog at http://limenviolet.blogspot.com . You can get their podcast by a link on their blog or download it through iTunes.

Another knitting podcast to check out is It's a purl, man. Another insightful podcast a guy who knits from Boston. He also has people on their for interviews. He keeps up to date with what is going on in the Boston knitting world. Check it out at his blog at http://www.itsapurlman.com . Listen to his podcast from his blog or download it from iTunes.

I will be letting you know about more knitting podcast in the next few days so keep in touch!

Post Office Strikes Again
Well, thanks to the post office I am now in possession of a greasy pair of Big White Socks! I knitted them and sent them in for a dye job. I received them back 3 days ago in a plastic bag with the torn up package. I am so ticked at the post office I am sending a letter thanking them for destroying the socks that were supposed to be on some poor soldiers feet. I am going to try to clean them but first I have to check to see if the yarn is damaged from the machine tearing at the yarn.

Will let you all know how it turns out. What a nightmare!

Knitting Away
I have been doing a lot of sock knitting but nothing is completed yet. Soon a couple of pairs will be finished. I got carried away with all the sock yarn and have several pairs going right now. Thank goodness that two pair are for the grandchildren. Granddaughter is 2 years old and the Grandson is 6 months. Tiny socks that knit faster.

I tried the double points again and still don't really care for them. I can knit with them but for me it is slower going. I prefer my circulars for now.

The yarn shop that I hang out at, "Ewe To You Yarn" in Grand Blanc Michigan has been getting all kinds of new yarn in. Its like Christmas to me. New classes, new yarn, new needles! What more could one hope for at their LYS!

Catch Up Day
Today is the day to catch up on my knitting. I have been teaching, gardening, and doing house work so my demos and personal knitting have taken a back seat. This weekend I am hoping to finish a pair of socks and a dinner jacket that is for my friends shop. I still have a list of projects to knit that are for future classes. Thank goodness my knitting has no end! Oh, and neither does my stash! ;-)
